THE RULES OF THE ROAD

Terms of Service

Please read these terms before using Bikers & Riders. Safety and rider responsibility always come first.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

These terms govern your use of Bikers & Riders, operated by AI Tech Solutions LLC. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be aged 18 or older and have a valid mobile phone number.

2. The service

Bikers & Riders provides group ride tracking tools, including live maps, groups, planned stops, chat, weather, hazard reports, photos, ride recaps, and alerts. The service is an aid for organising and sharing group rides, not a navigation or safety guarantee.

3. Safety and rider responsibility

Riding is dangerous. Never use the app while riding. Pull over safely first, and obey all traffic laws.

You are responsible for your riding decisions, road awareness, vehicle, fuel, and safety. Location, weather, routes, fuel, and distance estimates can be wrong, incomplete, or delayed. Fuel range is only an estimate. Do not rely on the app instead of your own judgment, road signs, current conditions, or emergency services.

4. Crash detection and SOS

Crash detection is a beta feature. SOS and crash alerts may not be delivered, may trigger falsely, and need phone signal and the app running. An alert does not guarantee delivery, a response, or assistance. These features are not a replacement for emergency services. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

5. Accounts and groups

Keep your account information accurate and protect access to your phone and sign-in codes. Ride admins approve riders and may remove or block riders and cancel rides. Riders choose to share location with their group. Admins are responsible for who they approve. Do not impersonate others or access an account or group without permission.

6. User content and conduct

You own the content you create. You give us a licence to host, store, display, and transmit your content as needed to operate the service. You must have permission to share the content you upload.

Do not post illegal, harassing, or misleading content or misuse the service. Road hazard and police reports must be honest and used lawfully. Do not use the app to evade law enforcement where that is unlawful.

7. Location sharing consent

By participating as an approved member in an active ride and granting location permission, you choose to share your precise location, speed, and heading with approved members of that ride. Background location requires your permission. You can turn off location in the app or phone settings; live tracking will then be limited or unavailable. See our Privacy Policy for details.

8. Notifications and text messages

We use text messages to send one-time sign-in codes and push notifications for ride activity and alerts. Carrier message and data rates may apply. You can manage notification permission in your phone settings, but disabling it may mean you miss ride updates and alerts.

9. Third-party services

The app relies on third-party maps, place search, routing, weather, messaging, hosting, and notification services. Their availability and accuracy are outside our control, and their own terms and privacy practices may apply. Estimates and third-party information may be incorrect or delayed.

10. Intellectual property

The app, brand, and service materials, other than user content and third-party materials, belong to AI Tech Solutions LLC or its licensors. These terms permit you to use the service; they do not transfer ownership of our intellectual property. Do not copy or misuse our materials except as permitted by law or with our permission.

11. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms. Account deletion is permanent. The Delete page explains what is deleted and any required steps for ride admins.

12. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, correct estimates, detection of crashes, delivery of SOS alerts, or rider safety. Nothing in these terms removes rights or warranties that cannot legally be excluded.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special losses resulting from use of or inability to use the service. This includes losses arising from inaccurate or delayed information or undelivered alerts. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

14. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify AI Tech Solutions LLC against third-party claims, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful use of the service, your content, or your violation of these terms or others’ rights.

15. Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. Updated terms will appear on this page with a revised effective date.
